VM Sizing policy does not list all allocation models in VCD.

Issue/Introduction

• When attempting to create VM sizing policies in VCD provider portal > Resources > Cloud Resources > VM Sizing Policies > Create Policy: Fill details and Submit. Viewing the Allocation policy does not show all the compatible allocation models. 
• Ideally, all the available allocation models include: Flex, Reservation Pool, Allocation pool, Pay-As-you-Go models.

VMware Cloud Director 10.x

Cause

• The limits applied during policy configuration defy feasibility, for some allocation models. 

Resolution

• Ensure to select the limits applied accordingly to the required allocation models when creating a VM sizing policy.

• Here’s how sizing policies fit into different allocation models:

  Allocation Model	VM Sizing Policy Compatibility	Behavior / Constraints
  Reservation Pool	Fully compatible	VM picks a sizing policy; reservations are guaranteed.
  Allocation Pool	Compatible, though less strict	VM sizing policy sets speed and memory; overcommitment allowed.
  Pay-As-You-Go	Fully compatible	VM’s resource commitment aligns with chosen size policy.
  Flex	Fully compatible and preferred	Flex was designed to support full power of VM sizing and placement policies.
