Issue/Introduction

Question:

We are trying to enable Agent Discovery in order to view agent-specific details such as version, state, and others for debugging purposes.

Answer:

In order to enable Agent Discovery, please use the following instructions:

1.       Run XPSConfig

2.       Select Siteminder (SM)

3.       Select AgentDiscoveryEnabled (should be 8, but check to confirm)

4.       Select "c" to change the value

5.       Enter 2 to enable Agent Discovery

6.       Quit out of XPSConfig

7.       Restart Policy Server for changes to take effect.

Additional Information:

Agent Discovery was introduced in version 12.5, and it was enabled by default between 12.5 and 12.52. 12.52 SP1 and later has Agent Discovery disabled by default.
