How to configure local channel in IGA Suite 15?

Local Channel for Air Gap Systems

If your deployment machine is an air gap system that restricts you from accessing the Broadcom channel, use the local channel to deploy.

Follow these steps:

1. Configure the local channel.

2. In the IGA Xpress console, navigate to the Updates tab.

3. Click the Configuration setting icon in the top-right corner of the screen.

4. Select Use Local Channel and click Save.

5. Download the IGA Suite local channel package (iga-suite-<version>-localchan.tar.gz) on your deployment machine from the support site.

6. Run the setup_localchan program on the downloaded local channel tarball as the igx user:

   setup_localchan <download_path>/iga-suite-<version>-localchan.tar.gz

   • The program extracts iga-suite-<version>-localchan.tar.gz and populates the local channel (/opt/brcm/iga/localchan) folder with the IGA Suite package.

You can now view the new release information in the Releases section of the Updates tab.

Note:

• With local channel, you can have only one version of IGA Suite for deployment at any given time.

• The deploy operation synchronizes the /opt/brcm/iga/localchan folder across all nodes in the cluster if they are out of sync.

• This synchronization can take some time, so we recommend using the Sync Mode as scp is faster.
