Disk information is not displayed on the claim disk screen when building vSAN OSA

Issue/Introduction

Target disks are not displayed when requesting disks during a vSAN OSA deployment.

・The disks are visible on the HPE server's iLO.

・Not display even after performing a storage rescan on ESXi.

・The target disks were not recognized by the ESXi host.

　Confirmed that the disks were not displayed using the following command:

 　-  esxcfg-mpath -b

 　-  localcli storage core device list

Environment

vCenter server 8.0

ESXi 8.0

vSAN 8.0

 

Cause

There was a wrong disk setting on the storage controller from a hardware confirmation.

Resolution

After correcting the setting on the storage controller, the target disks were recognized on ESXi host normally.
