• Ensuring Current tools compatibility with planned upgraded versions of ESXi, vCenter, and other products should always be reviewed prior to any changes in an environment.
• Incompatible or out of date versions of tools can result in VM issues such as:
  • Video resolution
  • Mouse movement
  • File copying and pasting
  • Quiesced snapshots
  • Graceful power power operations of the VM

Resolution

Steps to check compatibility with VMware Tools and a second product:

1. Please access the “VMware Product Interoperability Matrix” to verify compatibility.
2. Select VMware Tools for one solution, and select the other products you wish to verify compatibility with for the other solution.
3. Select “CHECK INTEROPERABILITY” to obtain the compatibility matrix information.
