Issue/Introduction

• The “Re-arrange” and 'Edit Rule' option is greyed out, preventing movement of firewall rules to the desired index when there are more than 100 rules.
• Whether this hard-coded limit will be lifted in future versions beyond 10.6.1.1.

Environment

vCloud Director 10.5.x
vCloud Director 10.6.x

Cause

This behavior is intentional, introduced in version 10.5.1.1 to ensure a stable and responsive UI.
Enabling “Re-arrange” for large rule sets caused severe UI slowdowns and unresponsiveness.
There are currently no plans to re-enable this option in upcoming releases, as it may lead to UI freezes.

Resolution

Use the “Move To” option in the UI to reposition rules.
You can select a rule, click “Move To”, enter the desired index number, and the rule will move accordingly.

"Edit Rules" or "Rearrange" buttons are greyed out in Tenant Portal when using DCG Distributed Firewall or Edge Gateway Firewall
