Issue/Introduction

Issue:

During an install of CA Asset Portfolio Manager 14.1, it is not possible to change the install path.

The path displays as: C:\Program Files(x86)\CA\ITAM and it is not possible to browse to another path or edit the existing path.

Environment:

CA Asset Portfolio Manager 14.1

Cause:

There was a previous install of APM 12.9 on the same server.  APM 12.9 had been uninstalled, but the uninstall was performed from the Control Panel.
The control panel uninstall does not remove all the APM 12.9 registry entries. The APM 14.1 installer was still detecting an APM 12.9 installation, so the path could not be changed.

Resolution:

Perform the APM 12.9 uninstall from the original APM 12.9 install media.  Run setup.exe and then choose 'uninstall'.
