Issue/Introduction

After replacing expired certificates on Enhanced Linked Mode (ELM) that was recently upgraded from 7.x to 8.x displaying the error: "Could not connect to one or more vCenter Server systems: https://...". This occurs despite services are working and VMDIR replication being reported as healthy.

Environment

vCenter 8.x

Cause

Inconsistency between the vCenter certificate stores: Corrupt cert entries is preventing the vCenters from successfully verifying each other's certificates and hence not able to see each other in ELM.

Resolution

Action Required: Report this issue to Broadcom support to identify the corrupt certs and assist further.
