Workload Domain creation retry task fails with error "SPEC_VALIDATION_HOST_NOT_FOUND: ESXi Host <ID> not found"

Issue/Introduction

• • VCF Operations reports the following error:
    
    Message: Validation of domain failed during retry with errors : [SPEC_VALIDATION_HOST_NOT_FOUND: ESXi Host <Host_ID> not found, SPEC_VALIDATION_HOST_NOT_FOUND: ESXi Host <Host_ID> not found].

    Remediation Message: Provide a correct spec for Add Workload Domain is provided.

    Reference Token: <TOKEN_ID>

     

  • SDDC Manager logs shows the following:

Environment

VMware SDDC Manager 9.x
VCF Operations 9.x

Cause

There is a mismatch between the IDs of the hosts and the IDs referred in the task workflow.

A possible cause is that the hosts might have been recommissioned with new Ids after the task was created. 

Resolution

Delete the VI domain from the VCF Ops, reimage the hosts and redeploy the workload domain.
