Server/Broker getting terminated during startup; with the following error: <SYS>-EACCES-Permission denied

Issue/Introduction

Domain or the Broker startup fails with the following error message is found in the log file:

Environment

Smarts 10.1.X , 24.3.X

Cause

Please check if the issue occurs with a non-root user as the error is mostly related to OS level permissions. 

If the service startup with a root user also fails, then this could mean that the OS is unable to cater the port requested for the domain/broker startup. 

Resolution

User may get in touch with the server administration team to confirm the following:

• The user used to startup the service is having sufficient permission levels to execute the services. 
  Reference: Options used to run as not-root user
• The requested ports are not blocked by firewall/server policy to allow seamless service connections.
