Issue/Introduction

When restoring a VMware NSX backup after inventory changes, the following notification appears: Deleting fabric nodes from DB during inventory reconciliation. This message indicates that a list of transport nodes has been deleted since the backup was taken. The NSX Manager removes these transport nodes from the database because the inventory snapshot shows those hosts are no longer available in the actual deployed environment.

Cause

The NSX Manager deletes these nodes because they exist in the backup but are no longer available in the actual deployed environment.

Resolution

Follow these steps to proceed with the restore process:

1. Confirm if transport nodes were removed after the NSX backup.
2. Acknowledge the notification if the removal is confirmed.
3. Proceed with the restore process.
