Issue/Introduction

On a cluster managed with a single image, a task runs in vCenter every minute "Check compliance of cluster with image".

Environment

vSphere 8.x

Cause

The issue occurs when the cluster image version (including the base image, vendor add-on, and additional components) differs from the components installed on the host.

Resolution

Verify that the cluster image, including the image, vendor add-on, and additional components, is consistent with the components installed on the host.

Steps:

- Select Cluster > Updates > Image

- Review "ESXi Version" , "Vendor Addon" , "Firmware and Drivers Addon" and "Components " and ensure that these are are same on both the host level and the cluster level.

- Remediate the cluster if there are any inconsistencies.
