Issue/Introduction

The customer is unable to launch iDash command line utilities such as idarchive, idjobid, etc.

The command/errors will be similar to:

C:\Program Files\CA\idash\bin>idjobid -i ACE

Error: Could not find or load main class Files\CA\idash\lib\core.jar;C:\Program

Cause

The IDASH_HOME environment variable has been set improperly.

Resolution

For the command line utilities to operate, the IDASH_HOME environment variable must be either encapsulated in double quotes ("C:\Program Files\CA\idash") or use 8.3 naming conventions if it contains a space (C:\Progra~1\CA\idash), which includes the default installation location for newer versions of iDash.
