Issue/Introduction

 Auto Decryption initiated  on Licensed Endpoints after upgrading to Symantec Endpoint Encryption to 12.5.0

WebConsole logs:

ERROR HelpDeskRecoveryService.Service.SEELicensingService.isLicensed - Failed to get licensing details, exception details: The underlying provider failed on Open.

AdminLog :

9/15/2025 12:00:00 AM    SYSTEM    xxx-xxxx    Auto decryption triggered for all endpoints.

Symantec Endpoint Encryption 12.5.0

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in Symantec Endpoint Encryption 12.5.0 Hotfix 1.
