Gen HE ADLIB PDS library fills up followed by E-37 abend

Issue/Introduction

Using Gen 8.6 Host Encyclopedia (HE) functions causes the ACCG860.ADLIB PDS library to grow with more members and eventually an E37 space issue occurs. Manual intervention is required to re-size the PDS.

Cause

The ADLIB library is not used by the Gen HE itself but by Response Systems product Access Gen (TSO).

Resolution

Per Response Systems Access Gen (TSO) Install Guide, ADLIB contains a cache of action diagrams to remove the need for repeated calls to the encyclopedia. 
The recommended allocations are (250,50) Cylinders, lrecl=168, blksize=27888.
