HCX service mesh cannot be created and virtual machines cannot be migrated

Issue/Introduction

• A new service mesh is being configured but cannot be completed. The process is halted at the "Select Compute Profiles" step as there is no compute profile present at the source or destination site.

Environment

VMware HCX 4.11.0

Cause

The compute profile is not created at the source or destination site. 

The compute and network profiles are required to be completely configured in a fashion that allows for HCX appliance VMs to be deployed with IP addresses on at least the management and vMotion networks. Without these configurations in place, a service mesh cannot be deployed and the appliances will not be instantiated. Without these appliances, VM migrations between sites are not possible.

Resolution

Complete the compute profile configuration at the source and destination sites and build the service mesh
