Issue/Introduction

After deploying VCF Automation, it appeared under Non-integrated components in VCF Operations, rather than being listed as an integrated component.
As a result, key integrations such as vCenter, NSX, and SDDC Manager connections were not visible in the VCF Automation UI.

Environment

VCF Automation 9.x

Resolution

To integrate the VCF Automation component correctly:

  1. Log in to VCF Operations.

  2. Navigate to:
    Fleet ManagementLifecycleVCF ManagementComponents.

  3. Click on Add Component.

  4. Select VCF Automation.

  5. Choose Installation Type as Import.

  6. Click Next and provide the required details.

  7. Complete the import process.

This re-imports VCF Automation as an integrated component.

Post-Integration Validation:

  • Log in to VCF Automation.

  • Confirm the presence of:

    • vCenter Connection

    • NSX Connection

    • SDDC Manager

Additional Information

Clean-up Steps:

  • Go back to Non-integrated Components.

  • Locate and delete the previous (non-integrated) VCF Automation instance.

  • Important: When deleting, uncheck the "Delete VM" checkbox to avoid removing the deployed virtual machine.
