Issue/Introduction

Modifying jobs to use High Availability after going from Standalone to Primary and Standby High Availability.

Environment

Workload Automation DE (dSeries)

Resolution

The dSeries Workload Automation High Availability (HA) configurations employ an active-passive model: one dSeries Server acts as the Primary (active), while the other serves as a monitoring Standby/Secondary.

When transitioning from a Standalone to an HA configuration, existing jobs typically do not need to be altered, as they are designed to run on whichever dSeries Server is currently designated as the Primary.

A key exception exists for jobs explicitly tied to a specific hostname; these jobs will be unable to execute on the Standby server in the event of a failover or role change. For such jobs to maintain high availability, their hostname should be configured as 'localhost'.
