ClamAV patterns not up-to-date

Issue/Introduction

Recent ClamAV updates over the CAS was seen not up-to-date.

Environment

CAS 3.X

ClamAV Antivirus

Cause

• On 06/10/2025 ClamAV patterns were showing Pattern version 27880 over the CAS with Last Pattern Update date from 01/10/2025
• Update All Now and Force Update All Now did not make any difference
• ClamAV logs were showing on 06/10/2025 that all is up-to-date

     

Resolution

• CAS always pick up ClamAV updates as soon as they are available on the ClamAV download mirror to update
• CAS logs up-to-date status was informing that there are no new updates available to download
• ClamAV released updates on 07/10/2025 with Pattern version 27884 which was pick up by the CAS and updated on GUI
• Refer to ClamAV party for any further info on how often patterns are available in case of similar issues seen
