When using FlexReports Resource Tags, expected tag values on resources are missing or have an unexpected value.
If the present value is not the correct value that's expected, or if a value is missing overall from a resource tag, it's likely due to backlinking being enabled.
When backlinking is enabled, CloudHealth analyzes asset tags in the latest CUR to identify assets that had those tags in older CURs.
It's possible that the expected values are not currently present in the resource, but were present historically.
Disabling backlinking will show all the values the resource previously had.
In this example, this specific resource ID was expected to show tag values for the following three tags, but they are missing.
When clicking "Add Dimensions", the Enable Backlinking toggle at the bottom will be enabled by default.
Disable this toggle and click Apply on the top right.
Disabling backlinking will display all values that were once under a specific tag for an asset, which may result in multiple lines, as shown below. Notice that each line shows different values for each tag key, as these values were once assigned to those tags in the past.
It is not currently possible to report what time frames these values were assigned to historically.
