Alert: vCenter Server Appliance is running low on memory

Issue/Introduction

• In the VAMI there is an alerts that the VCSA is running low on memory.

Cause

There is a misconfigured DNS server that is not responding to requests causing the memory utilization to be above 80%.

Resolution

Using the VCF Diagnostic Tool for vSphere (VDT) validate all DNS servers are passing and properly replying to requests. Should you have a non-responding DNS server, remove that DNS server or replace it with a working one in the VAMI settings.
