Finding and downloading DBAPI Common Libraries for Datacom System REST API

Issue/Introduction

Starting with Datacom System REST API version 2.0.04-211 (LU18102), the DBAPI Common Libraries (dbapi-common-<n.n.nn-nnn>.jar  and dbapi-common-lib-<n.n.nn-nnn>.jar) have been removed from the Datacom System REST API installation tar file.

These common libraries must now be downloaded separately. Where can these libraries be found?

Environment

Datacom System REST API on USS or on Windows

Resolution

1. Open a Web browser and navigate to support.broadcom.com.
2. Select Software > Mainframe Software > My Downloads from the menu bar.
3. Enter Datacom into the search bar and select Show Results.
4. Select Datacom.
5. Select the Solutions tab.
6. Select Datacom/DB MVS > 15.1
7. Type DBAPI Common Libraries on the search box and press the Enter key.
8. Click on the blue title of the latest solution on the PTFs list.
9. Download the latest Database API Generator common JAR files (dbapi-common-<n.n.nn-nnn>.jar  and dbapi-common-lib-<n.n.nn-nnn>.jar)

As of October 7, 2025, the latest Database Business API Generator Datacom PTF is LU18226 - DBAPI Common Libraries v1.0.5
