Environment

VCF Operations 9.x

Cause

The data collection for the VCF Adapter instance is found to be in a stopped state due to incorrect or expired credentials configured for the adapter

Resolution

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. From the left menu, click Administration > Integrations > Expand VMware Cloud Foundation Adapter.
  2. Click on the account that shows Collections stopped
  3. Click Edit and update the credentials.
  4. Click Validate Connection and wait for the test connection to complete. If successful, save the adapter configurations.
  5. Click the Vertical Ellipses of the affected VCF Adapter and select Start Collecting All to start data collection.
  6. Wait for 5 to 10 minutes to complete the data collection.
  7. Check the Adapter collection state, which should be "Ok".
  8. Verify that the environment details such as data centers, clusters, hosts, VMs, and datastores are listed in the Inventory page.
