  • The environment is running NSX Manager 3.0 or later.
  • Running the command "get service nsx-message-bus" in the admin CLI returns service state as "Stopped".
  • Attempting to start the service manually fails.

Cause

This is an expected behavior by design. The nsx-message-bus service is depreciated since version 3.0 and is not being used anymore.

Resolution

This is an expected behavior by design. The nsx-message-bus service is depreciated since version 3.0 and is not being used anymore. The function of the nsx-message-bus service were integrated into other services.
