Issue/Introduction

Symantec DLP Agent service stopped after windows upgrade

Error in the Event Viewer

The EDPA service terminated with the following error: 
The system cannot find the file specified.

Error in the EDPA Logs:

CodeInjection.HookManager | HRESULT : 0x80004002 - Failed to intialize or retrieve interface pointer from 32-bit process

Environment

DLP Agent 16.x

Resolution

Agent install seems to have been corrupt during the windows upgrade

Uninstall / Reinstall of the DLP Agent is required.
