Issue/Introduction

This issue prevents the adapter from gathering IIS metrics, leading to a gap in monitoring and performance visibility.

Environment

Aria Operations 8. x

Cause

General Cause:

• Misconfiguration of the IIS adapter.

• Connectivity issues between Aria Operations and the IIS server.

• Insufficient permissions on the IIS server for the adapter to access and collect data.

• Resource issues on either the IIS server or Aria Operations instance.

 

Resolution

• Validate Connection and Import Certificate:
  
  

  • Navigate to Administration > Integrations in the Aria Operations left pane.
    
    
  • Select the specific IIS adapter instance and click Edit.
    
    
  • Click Validate Connection.
    
    
  • If prompted for incorrect credentials, correct them and re-validate.
    
    
  • If a prompt appears to import the associated certificate, click OK to import it.
    
    
  • Save: the adapter configuration.
    
    
• Restart Adapter Collection:

   

  • After saving the configuration, Stop and then Start data collection for the IIS adapter. This can usually be done from the same Integrations section where you edited the adapter.
