Resolution
The commercial VMware Tanzu Salt on-prem solution is now decoupled from the prior bundled packaging with VMware Tanzu Guardrails (End of Life October 31st, 2024), VMware Tanzu Platform Spring Essentials (10.0 End of Support November 26, 2025 & 10.1 End of Support January 29, 2026), and Aria Automation. The VMware Tanzu Salt solution will now have an end of support date of October 2028, regardless of end of support dates documented for the previous bundled packaging.
The existing VMware Tanzu Salt solution is now supported by the Broadcom VCF Business Unit and will be supported through October 2028 or the end of any contract expiration date, whichever comes first. For existing customers, no changes are needed for licensing or support. Also, existing customers are entitled to the latest version of the solution and updates through their contract dates. The latest version of the solution is offered as VMware Aria Automation Config release. Please refer to the Product Lifecycle page on the Broadcom support portal for further release details including the end of service dates.
