Question:
Is there any way to remove/free space in our database ?
Environment:
Harvest 12.5 and 12.6
Resolution:
Please review Harvest Archive utility.

CA_SCM_Ref_ENU.pdf - page 20 har Command-Archive
In summary, you can archive old projects that you no longer use. Archive frees up tablespace in the database that can be reused by other projects.
You may not see immediate saving in disk space until you run a shrink on the database to reclaim space.
There are also certain rules that apply to projects that you will see in the Reference Guide above.
Also a note, if you have archived projects, it is REQUIRED to restore all of the archived projects before you can run any SCM db upgrade script. This is a known limitation on the current archive/restore utility.
Starting in Harvest 12.5, we now have a new utility that allows users to move a project database from one database to another for performance or space purposes.
Check hmvproj command-line utility for the Harvest SCM Administrator usage only. This utility does not require the Harvest SCM broker connection or client components, to execute. With the specified ODBC connections to both source database and target database, the project is copied or moved between databases.
