The following output appears in the events for the affected ESXi host:

 

The host was powered off. The reason for the last reboot is unknown. Check the ESXi and BMC logs for more information.

An investigation into the ESXi host or hardware issue is required.

Please conduct a parallel investigation into the hardware and provide the following information to Broadcom Support:

vc-support
vm-support for the affected ESXi host
vm-support for the vSphere HA primary host
Date and time of the incident

The procedures for obtaining various log bundles and verifying the primary host are as follows:

  1. Log in to the vSphere Client.
  2. Select the target cluster and select the "Hosts" tab.
  3. Check the "HA Status" section and confirm that the ESXi host is "Running (Primary)."
