I am working on an upgrade for a client.

There are about 7 different DDOL files allocated on this LPAR.

Is there a way I can tell which DDOL1 file the MUF is using?

You are upgrading CA Datacom/AD 12.0 to CA Datacom/AD 14.0 with Using product IDEAL/DB2.

What is the purpose of CA Datacom files DDOFILE and DDOFIL2 defined to my CICS region?

DDOL1 file is a workfile allocated new during the 14.0 upgrade in job BDUPG10. It is used by the DDOL transaction.

In short you decide for the name following the naming convention at site or you look at customer CICS for the name being used.
