Issue/Introduction

When you are evaluating a vSAN Stretched Cluster in VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.0 without applying official VCF 9 and vSAN entitlements you may encounter an issue where the vSAN Witness Appliance evaluation license expires on August 20, 2025

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation 9.0

Resolution

This issue is planned to be addressed in an upcoming patch release

Workaround:

As a temporary workaround, you can deploy an 8.0U3 vSAN Witness Appliance from the 8.0 U3 and upgrade to 9.0
