Issue/Introduction

• Access to the Aria Automation via the load-balanced FQDN is not possible.
• The login is redirected to a vIDM node FQDN, where the connection is not possible.
• The option to select 'System Domain' is not offered.

Environment

• Aria Automation 8.18.x
• vIDM 3.3.7

Cause

In situations where access to Aria Automation via a system domain account is necessary, and there is an issue with the vIDM instance, the browser you are using may have cached the previous login attempt method and default to that method, for example, AD domain login.

Resolution

There are two options to mitigate this issue,

• Use an incognito window to navigate to the Aria Automation instance. Select 'System Domain' when prompted for which domain the log in via.
• Clear the cache of your browser.
  • This process varies depending on the browser, but typically requires entering the settings menu and finding the option to delete browsing data.
