Resolution
Confirm the version upgraded to is as described for 8.18.y (newest as of 2025) release note.
Check the "Product Interoperability Matrix", to see if Aria Operations manager is compatible to the intended version to be upgraded to:

Review compatibility of any third party management packs in the environment using the links: Interoperability Result, VCF Solutions Catalog & VMware Aria Operations for Integrations Management-Packs.
After the above has been done, "Take Cluster Offline", through the admin interface.
When all the nodes are shown as "offline", take snapshots without memory of Aria Ops.
Apply assessment tool to check the Aria Ops is operating normally. When confirmed then proceed with the upgrade.
