Unable to integrate Operations for Logs with Active Directory with Error: Logs connection failed. Invalid credentials

Issue/Introduction

You are able to login to VCF Operations for Logs with an Active Directory (AD) account. This user account has administrative privilege.  However, you cannot integrate with VCF Operations with the same AD account, but you are able to integrate with a Local Administrative account from VCF Operations for Logs.

The following error is shown when tried to integrate with an AD user:

Resolution

In a VVF deployment environment, the VCF Operations for Logs integration can be found under Administration > Control Panel > Operations - Log Appliance Integration

The above integration requires a VCF Operations for Logs Local User with Administration privilege.
