No separate notification alert in Aria Operations sent from Aria Operations for Logs for different events

Issue/Introduction

• An alert was created in Aria Operations for Logs that will send a notification event to Aria Operations as an alert.
• If there is no active notification event/alert in the alerts section of Aria Operations, the event/alert is correctly created with the correct time.
• If there is already one active notification event/alert in Aria Operations and an additional event is created from Aria Operations for Logs, the text within the alert gets updated/overwritten, and alert keeps the original date and time.
• Separated email notifications for the event are correctly received if configured in Aria for Logs.

Cause

By design if an generated alert is not cancelled in Aria Operations, the new alert received for the same event overwrites the existing alert text without changing the date the alert was originally generated.

Resolution

Manually cancel the active alert in Aria Operations or configuring the Aria Operations for Logs alert to cancel the alert in VMware Aria Operations if it is not triggered within a certain period using the "Auto Cancel".
