Error: 'Unable to get connection to NSX Manager' on VMC Adapter in Aria Operations.

Issue/Introduction

• The VMware Cloud on AWS adapter instance shows a warning for the associated NSX-T management pack.

State: Collecting
Status: Error
Message: Unable to get connection to NSX Manager. Please validate credential and test connection.

• Performing "Validate Connection" for the NSX-T fails with below error:

Error : Failed to establish connection to NSX Manager due to insufficient user privileges.

 

Environment

Aria Operations 8.18.x
VMware Cloud on AWS

Cause

 

This issue is seen due to underlying issue with the VMC Infrastructure.

Resolution

Make sure the credentials used for the integration have the appropriate user privileges - either the NSX Cloud Admin or NSX Cloud Auditor role (Prerequisite) under VMware Cloud on AWS service roles.
