When performing cross vCenter vmotion, Vcenter does not display any hosts under the target Cluster

Issue/Introduction

When trying to do a cross-vCenter vMotion, vCenter displays the Datacenter and Cluster object in the migration window, but does not display any Hosts, as shown in the screenshot below:

Environment

VMware vCenter Server

Cause

Routing/MTU issue in physical network with inability to ping consistently between source and destination Host networks when both Hosts are connected to vMotion netstack.

Resolution

Resolve network connectivity issue between source and destination Host networks.

Workaround

Updating vMotion configuration to use default netstack may resolve the issue if the same network connectivity issue does not exist between source and destination management networks
