Issue/Introduction

  • Trend Micro Service Deployment is configured on cluster.

  • Clicking "Failed" shows.

Failed to get a valid IP from IpPool IpPool/[UUID] with cidr null.

Resolution

Workaround:

  1. Schedule a maintenance window.
  2. Put the problematic host into maintenance mode.
  3. Remove the Trend Micro Service Deployment from cluster.
  4. Detach the Transport Node Profile from the cluster.
  5. From vCenter, move the problematic host out of the cluster.
  6. Within NSX, confirm that the pool frees up an IP.
  7. From within NSX attach the Transport Node Profile back to the cluster.
  8. From vCenter, move the host back into the cluster.
  9. Confirm that cluster/host is prepared successfully.
