Issue/Introduction
- Trend Micro Service Deployment is configured on cluster.
- From within
System > Fabric > Hosts > Clusters, NSX Configuration column shows "Failed".
- Clicking "Failed" shows.
Failed to get a valid IP from IpPool IpPool/[UUID] with cidr null.
- Checking the IP Pool referenced in the error shows that all IPs are allocated.
- The failed host shows that the TEP is configured and it successfully received an IP from the Pool.
Resolution
Workaround:
- Schedule a maintenance window.
- Put the problematic host into maintenance mode.
- Remove the Trend Micro Service Deployment from cluster.
- Detach the Transport Node Profile from the cluster.
- From vCenter, move the problematic host out of the cluster.
- Within NSX, confirm that the pool frees up an IP.
- From within NSX attach the Transport Node Profile back to the cluster.
- From vCenter, move the host back into the cluster.
- Confirm that cluster/host is prepared successfully.
- Configuring the Trend Micro Service Deployment for cluster.
