Issue/Introduction

SSO user accessing VMware Cloud Foundation Operations 9.0 gets the following error:  "Access denied, Unable to authenticate the user" 

Environment

VMware Cloud Foundation Operations 9.0

Resolution

  1. Sign into VMware Cloud Foundation Operations UI
  2. Expand Fleet Management from the menu
  3. Click on Identity & Access
  4. Expand VCF Instances
  5. Select the VCF Instance that you wish to change
  6. Click on Identify source
  7. On Authentication Information change the Unique Identifier in OIDC Identity provider to oid
