Issue/Introduction

Below error is reflected in vCenter UI while deploying the vsan file service appliance manually through OVF 

Error: 

Select an OVF template from remote URL or local file system
1 required file(s) missing: browse again and use multiple selection to reselect the OVF template and all required files. If you are trying to import a .ova file then it may be missing file(s). Missing file(s) : layout.json
Enter a URL to download and install the OVF package from the Internet, or browse to a location accessible from your computer, such as a local hard drive, a network share, or a CD/DVD drive.



Environment

VMware vSAN

Cause

One or more required file from "VMware-vSAN-File-Services-Appliance" OVF Template is missing 

Resolution

If you select "Manually load OVF" option while enabling vSAN File Service, you should upload all the following files:

VMware-vSAN-File-Services-Appliance-x.x.x.x-x_OVF10.mf
VMware-vSAN-File-Services-Appliance-x.x.x.x-x-x_OVF10.cert
VMware-vSAN-File-Services-Appliance-x.x.x.x-x-x-system.vmdk
VMware-vSAN-File-Services-Appliance-x.x.x.x-x-cloud-components.vmdk
VMware-vSAN-File-Services-Appliance-x.x.x.x-x-log.vmdk
VMware-vSAN-File-Services-Appliance-x.x.x.x-x_OVF10.ovf
