Procedure for extending/editing a custom VC

Issue/Introduction

Is there a process for editing a custom vendor cert? I ran a HTTP put on this URL:

https://xxxxxxxxx:8582/typecatalog/certifications/snmp/extension/F5LTMPoolMemberStatusSC

And I get a 404 back that says: 

This is a custom vendor certification. Custom vendor certifications cannot be extended, but should be updated instead.

Environment

Dx NetOps Performance Management any version

Resolution

Custom vendor certs cannot be extended as they would not be overwritten during an upgrade.  Simply update as needed to add to or change existing functionality
