IP blocks instead of IP spaces.VMware Cloud Director 10.6.x
When using IP blocks, rather than IP spaces, a dedicated provider gateway is required by design. With this IP assignment mechanism, there would be no method to enforce that there are not overlapping prefixes being advertised on a shared gateway.
Moreover, with IP blocks, route advertisement is managed via the organization edge gateways attached to the dedicated provider gateway and cannot be managed at the organization network level.
Transitioning from a shared provider gateway to a dedicated provider gateway will permit route advertisement management at the edge gateway level. However, if route advertisement management at the organization network level is required, migrate the provider gateway to IP spaces.
