Issue/Introduction

Edge SWG device rebooted unexpectedly and as per mini-context it is seen:

Hardware exception code: 0x0
Software exception code: 0x5d
Page fault linear address: 0x0
Process group: "PG_CFSSL"
Process: "H2 CW 8078EB0AA40" in "kernel.exe" at .text+0x123f421

Event Viewer logs:

Cause

SG-41852

Resolution

The fix for this issue is available starting from 7.3.26.1 and 7.4.10.1 SGOS releases.

Additional Information

A "cold restart" is equivalent to a full power cycle or reboot of the appliance.

It’s not a process restart — the whole system was restarted, as if the box was powered off/on.

This can be triggered by:

• Manual reboot (e.g., admin-issued reboot command).
• Power outage/power interruption.
• Watchdog reset (appliance hung or kernel panic › watchdog forced restart).
• Hardware fault (less common, but possible).
• Software fault
