Issue/Introduction

  • A new Custom Investment Type object is created at Administration > Objects
  • An instance of this is created in the Modern UX
  • This instance is then financially enabled. Its 'Financial Status' is set to 'Open'
  • Its 'Status' is then set to 'Inactive'
  • The application does not prevent this, like it does with instances of the 'Project' object.

Resolution

  • This is an expected behaviour. There are other investment types where it is not a rule that an instance has to have its 'Financial Status' set to 'Hold' or 'Closed', before changing the status to 'Inactive'
  • As a workaround, a Business Rule can be defined, that automatically sets the 'Financial Status' to one of these values, when 'Status' changes to 'Inactive'.
