Can a user in Spectrum be added to multiple User Groups?

Issue/Introduction

We have a requirement that need to add user in multiple user groups in Spectrum. When we try to add user in multiple groups, we are getting an error saying the user already exists in Spectrum.

Environment

DX NetOps Spectrum all currently supported releases

Resolution

No, users cannot be added to multiple User Groups in Spectrum.

Different groups can have different settings which would be contradictory or mutually exclusive. So to put a user into multiple groups, it would have to be duplicated, which Spectrum doesn't support.

Hence, users can only be added to one group.
