Support for VMware HCX outside of VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2

Issue/Introduction

• You have an entitlement/license for the VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2 (VCF) product
• You are using individual components of VMware Cloud Foundation (traditional vCenter, ESXi, NSX, etc...) but you have not deployed VCF/SDDC Manager itself.
• You would like to use the VMware HCX product to perform VM/workload migrations.

Environment

• VMware HCX 4.11 and lower
• VMware Cloud Foundation 5.2

Resolution

VMware HCX can be deployed independently of VCF. There is no requirement to have VCF deployed to make use of VMware HCX 4.11 or lower.
