Issue/Introduction

CA Common Services CCILGR abends with S378-14 and results in a CVT overlay.

Environment

- Supported z/OS level- CA Common Services r14.1

Cause

If CCILGR is started manually, prior to the CCI subsystem completely initializing, a S378-14 abend can occur in the CCILGR address space.  The recovery of this abend results in an overlay of CVTSYSAD with x'FFFFFFFF'.  

Resolution

Start CCILGR correctly via the LOGGER statement in the CCIPARMs.

Additional Information

PTF RO90326 has been developed to prevent the abend from occurring.  However, CCILGR should normally be started via the LOGGER statement in the CCIPARMs.
