Upgrade from VCF 5.2 to 9.0 is unable to complete due to incompatible WCP cluster

Issue/Introduction

During an upgrade from VCF 5.2 to VCF 9.0, the process will not complete due to an NSX Precheck failure.  

 

 

Environment

VCF 5.2
vCenter Server 9.0 
vSphere Supervisor 1.29

 

Cause

The current version of WCP within the vSphere Supervisor cluster incompatible with the target version of NSX. 

Pre-upgrade checks failed for FINALIZE_UPGRADE: Incompatible WCP clusters with NSX version exist. Please upgrade the WCP clusters before upgrading NSX. Precheck failed because NSX version 9.0 requires minimum WCP Version to be 9.0.0.0 whereas the current WCP Version is 0.1.10. 

Resolution

Upgrade the vSphere Supervisor cluster to a version compatible with NSX and VCF 9.0.
