Issue/Introduction

Storage vMotion fails with the following message.
"Cannot complete file creation operation."
"There are currently x usable fault domains. The operation requires x more usable fault domains. Failed to create object."

Environment

VMware vSAN

Cause

This issue occurs because an destination ESXi host on vSAN cluster is in vSAN decommission state.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, you need to exit the decommissioning state.

To exit vSAN decommission state, please refer to "What action can be performed to resolve this?" section.
