Issue/Introduction

We upgraded PAM domain orchestrator from 4.3 SP05 to 4.4 CP02 no issue.

However, when tried to upgrade the cluster node from 4.3 SP05 to 4.4, the upgrade script crashed. In the PAM-install-folder\wildfly\standalone\installation.log we saw

<INFO  2025-09-14 15:16:08,068 InstallCert::info> Opening connection to load-balancer-VIP:8443...
<ERROR 2025-09-14 15:16:21,575 TransportProtoFactory::error> Error occurred while certificate installation
java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect

This is a two nodes PAM installation with F5 load balancer.

Environment

PAM 4.4

Resolution

Change these two port numbers in  PAM-install-folder\wildfly\standalone\.config\domain.xml file

From:

<C2ODomainSecurePort>8443</C2ODomainSecurePort>
<C2ODomainUnsecurePort>8080</C2ODomainUnsecurePort>

To:

<C2ODomainSecurePort>443</C2ODomainSecurePort>
<C2ODomainUnsecurePort>80</C2ODomainUnsecurePort>

And then upgrade the cluster node again.
